Social Publisher
A tailored publishing prototype developed within an arts organisation's administration tools. It explores how a team can reuse website stories, prepare different social versions and review images and copy before publishing.
The work brings content, media and an experimental social publishing workflow into one interface, without pretending that every platform integration is complete.
Reuse the source, not the same post everywhere
Stories on a website and updates on social networks often begin with the same information, but each destination has different expectations for text, links and images. Copying material by hand risks duplicated effort and inconsistent versions.
Atinamos developed a focused administration workflow for preparing social posts from existing website content, while keeping individual platform versions editable rather than automatically distributing one identical message everywhere.
Content preparation, review and a publishing integration
Import existing stories
The prototype can read published website stories and bring their text and associated images into a new draft, rather than requiring the content to be typed again.
Prepare platform-specific copy
Facebook, Instagram and Bluesky versions can be prepared and reviewed separately. The interface allows edits before taking a publishing action.
Manage images thoughtfully
Media handling includes image ordering, descriptions for accessibility and optional integration with a private Google Drive media library when configured.
Bluesky integration
A server-side Bluesky publisher implements authentication, text and supported image uploads, link handling and response recording. Real publishing is conditional on explicit server configuration and confirmation.
Review and history
The administration interface includes draft review, publishing results and a history view, with optional database-backed records of platform status and returned identifiers.
An honest prototype, not an all-platform service
This project is a development prototype integrated into the organisation's administration area. The code includes a conditional live Bluesky publishing path, while the current Facebook and Instagram publishing results are simulated. Broader live integrations, reliable scheduling and a full production rollout are not presented here as finished functionality.
The separate addon repository also documents a longer-term architecture for safely isolating platform adapters, permissions, approval and publishing history. The implemented prototype provides a practical base for evaluating those requirements rather than claiming that the entire roadmap has been delivered.
Integrating content systems with external platforms
The Social Publisher demonstrates Atinamos's ability to work with existing website content, develop a bespoke administration interface and implement a real external API integration, while clearly separating prototype behaviour from production-ready capabilities.
